The Times of Israel, citing figures from the Israel National Cyber Directorate, now reports that in the first half of 2021 Israel accounted for 41% of global investment capital invested in the cybersecurity sector. Wall Street seems to know only one address when it comes to security on the web, in IT and critical digital processes: Israel.
In absolute figures, this means an investment of 3.4 billion USD in about 50 deals. Seven Israeli companies became so-called ‘unicorns’ after these IPOs, which are usually handled as SPACs. This means companies with a company valuation of more than USD 1 billion.
And the Times of Israel, citing figures from the Israel National Cyber Directorate, reports that ” (…). More than a third of the world’s cybersecurity unicorns are from Israel”. 13of the world’s 33 ‘Unicorns’ in 2021 are from Israel. EU-Europe does not play a role in this equation.
