Energea plc announced that they find a new very large natural gas field in the offshore Israeli field ‘Hermes’. The press release speaks about 7 to 15 BCM of natural gas.
With this new finding Israel is definitively a significant player who can relieve the dependency of Europe – caused by Germany’s self-destructive energy policy causing not only a severe dependence of the EU on Russia but also Germany is paying the world wide highest price for electricity – on Russia and Kuwait resp. Saudi-Arabia.
But at the moment the EU acts not very rational and the future will tell, whether the EU will make a treaty with Israel or will stay to be dependent on dictators.
The press release says: The Hermes exploration well, block 31, offshore Israel, has made a commercial discovery. Preliminary estimates indicate that the structure contains 7 – 15 bcm of recoverable natural gas resources. Detailed analysis of the data collected by the well is ongoing, with the aim of refining volumetric estimates and potential commerciality for both the discovery and the full area. The Hermes discovery has helped to de-risk the nearby Poseidon and Orpheus structures, which represent attractive potential future appraisal targets to fully assess the potential of the area around block 31.”

Energea plc gab bekannt, dass das britsch-griechische Unternehmen ein neues, sehr großes Erdgasfeld im israelischen Offshore-Feld „Hermes“ entdeckt hat. Die Pressemitteilung spricht von 7 bis 15 BCM Erdgas.
Mit dieser neuen Erdgasfeld ist Israel definitiv ein bedeutender Akteur, der die Abhängigkeit Europas – verursacht durch die selbstzerstörerische Energiepolitik Deutschlands, die nicht nur eine starke Abhängigkeit der EU von Russland verursacht, sondern Deutschland auch den weltweit höchsten Strompreis zahlt – von Russland und Kuwait bzw. Saudi-Arabien reduzieren kann.
Aber im Moment handelt die EU nicht sehr rational und die Zukunft wird zeigen, ob die EU einen Vertrag mit Israel abschließen oder lieber weiter von Diktatoren abhängig bleiben will.
