One can understand the participation of Israel at the Bahrain International AirShow as an additional positive result of the Abraham Accords, once brokered by former US-President Donald Trump and former and new Israeli Primeminister Benyamin Netanyahu.
Over 180 companies from about 30 states participated at the Bahrain International AirShow (BIAS). At the exhibition hall, Lockheed Martin, took a large entrance-front display to showcase the F-16 Block 70 “Fighting Falcon” that is owned by the Royal Bahraini Air Force (RBAF).
Lockheed Martin is a global security and aerospace company that employs approximately 114,000 people worldwide and is principally engaged in the research, design, development, manufacture, integration and sustainment of advanced technology systems, products and services. Lockheed Martin has participated in the last four editions of Bahrain international Airshow (BIAS), and cooperation has grown ever since.
But the big wow was the participation of the IAI on behalf of the State of Israel. It was the very first time that Israel participated thanks to the Abraham Accords. Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI) manufactures military and civilian aerial and astronautic systems.
“Our participation confirms the Bahrain-Israel strong relations, making Bahrain feel like a second home to us,” Israel Aerospace Industry’s (IAI) VP for the MENA region Sharon Biton said. And concluded: “It’s very important to understand that IAI is not just another defense company, and we are more than just a business corporation. IAI carefully analyzes challenges with its customers and provides non-identical and unique solutions.”
