Das ‚Moran Singers Ensemble‘ und das ‚Barrocade Orchestra‘, das historische Instrumente aus der Barockzeit bei seinen Aufführungen verwendet, laden vom 8.-10.2.2023 zu vier Konzerten in Israel ein, in deren Mittelpunkt J. F. Händels festliche ‚Eine Ode an Santa Cecilia‘ steht.
Die musikalische Leitung liegt in den Händen der Gründerin der ‚Moran Chöre‘, Naomi Faran, und von Tom Karni vom ‚Barrocade Orchestra‘: Maestro Anders Mustonen aus Estland wird die Vorstellungen dirigieren.
Ebenfalls auf dem Programm stehen Telemanns ‚Grosso-Konzert für Trompete, zwei Oboen und Orchester‘ sowie ein Chorwerk aus der Renaissance, das ‚Hallo in the Saints‘ des britischen Komponisten William Byrd.
Zwei israelische professionelle Sänger, die in hiesigen wie europäischen Konzertsälen zu Hause sind, übernehmen die Solopartien in den Konzerten: die Sopranistin Einat Aronstein, eine Absolventin des ‘Moran Choir’, und der Tenor Eitan Drori.
Die Konzerte finden im Februar zu vier verschiedenen Terminen statt:

Der ‚Moran Choir‘ wurde 1986 in Moshav Beit Yitzhak von Naomi Faran, der Dirigentin und musikalischen Leiterin des Chores, gegründet. Der Chor gewann Goldmedaillen bei Wettbewerben, nahm an internationalen Festivals teil, tritt mit führenden Orchestern auf und führt Originalwerke der besten Komponisten Israels auf.
Ein besonderes Anliegen ist die Verbreitung humanistischer Werte durch die Chorarbeit. Diese Werte finden ihren Ausdruck in der Verbindung von musikalischer Exzellenz mit gesellschaftlichem Engagement.
Im Laufe der Jahre wuchs der ‘Moran Choir’ auf sechs Ensembles für Sänger unterschiedlichen Alters an. Die Besonderheit des Ensembles ‚Gemeinsam singen‘ ist die Integration von Jugendlichen und jungen Menschen mit besonderen Bedürfnissen.
So trat dieses Ensemble Berlin im Rahmen des ‚Louis Lewandowski Festival‘ im Jahr 2019 beim Pre-Opening-Konzert im ‚Bärensaal – Altes Stadthaus‘ in einer bewegenden Aufführung auf.
Das gesamte Ensemble, so die Webseite des ‚Louis Lewandowski Festival, besteht aus vierzig jungen Sängern im Alter von 12 bis 18 Jahren. Mitglieder des Chores sind aus den verschiedensten Minderheiten Israels, darunter Kinder und Erwachsene, die besondere Betreuung benötigen.

The ‘Moran Singers Ensemble‘ and the ‘Barrocade Orchestra‘, which uses historical instruments from the Baroque period in its performances, invite you to four concerts in Israel from February 8th to 10th, 2023, the focus of which will be J. F. Handel’s festive ‘An Ode to Santa Cecilia’ stands.
Musical direction is in the hands of Moran Choirs founder Naomi Faran and Tom Karni of the ‘Barricade Orchestra’; Maestro Anders Mustonen from Estonia will conduct the performances.
Also on the program are Telemann’s ‘Grosso Concerto for Trumpet, Two Oboes and Orchestra’ and a Renaissance choral work, ‘Hallo in the Saints’ by British composer William Byrd.
Two Israeli professional singers, at home in local and European concert halls, will take on the solo parts in the concerts: soprano Einat Aronstein, a Moran Choir graduate, and tenor Eitan Drori.

The ‘Moran Choir’ was founded in 1986 in Moshav Beit Yitzhak by Naomi Faran, the choir’s conductor and musical director. The choir has won gold medals in competitions, taken part in international festivals, performed with leading orchestras, and performed original works by Israel’s finest composers.
A special concern is the dissemination of humanistic values through the choir work. These values are expressed in the combination of musical excellence and social commitment.
Over the years, the Moran Choir has grown to six ensembles for singers of different ages. The special feature of the ensemble ‘Singing Together’ is the integration of young people with special needs.
This ensemble performed as part of the ‘Louis Lewandowski Festival‘ in Berlin in 2019 at the pre-opening concert in the ‘Bärensaal – Altes Stadthaus’ in a moving performance.
