Israel, eines der führenden Länder in der Start-up-Welt. Es liegt so auf der Hand, dass Israel auch Innovationen setzen möchte im Bereich Tourismus. Dazu finden 2013 zwei Konferenzen in Israel statt.
In Zusammenarbeit mit der Welttourismusorganisation (UNWTO) findet vom 14. bis 17. Februar 2023 das ‚Global Tourism Innovation Forum‘ (GTI Forum) statt.
Tourismus und Innovation gehen nicht immer Hand in Hand. Die Tourismusbranche basiert auf menschlichem Kontakt. Durch die Corona-Krise haben sich Insbesondere in den letzten Jahren erhebliche Veränderungen ergeben. Innovation und Technologie haben eine Revolution im Sektor Tourismus und Reisen erfahren.
Einige Bereiche dieser arbeitsintensiven Industrie wurden radikal verändert. Dennoch bleiben der persönliche Service und der Kontakt von Mensch zu Mensch selbstverständlich der Kern des Kundenerlebnisses und hinterlassen sowohl bei den Touristen als auch bei den Gastgebern einen tiefen Eindruck und bleibende Erinnerungen.
Während sich die Tourismuswelt aus der COVID-19-Pandemiekrise erholt, bleiben Risiken bestehen. Das explosionsartige und unmittelbare Wachstum der Reise- und Tourismusnachfrage hat dazu geführt, dass viele Branchensegmente dringend auch technologische Lösungen benötigten, um mit den Auswirkungen der Krise fertig zu werden.
Der Bedarf an innovativem Denken, der Integration von Technologie und der Förderung des Innovationsgeistes, um neue bahnbrechende Lösungen zu erzielen, hat sich verzehnfacht.
Das ‘GTI-Forum‘ untersucht die Verbindung zwischen der Tourismuswelt und den Innovations- und Technologiewelten. Das Forum diskutiert unter anderem folgende Themen: wie Innovation und Technologie den Arbeitskräftemangel lösen können, ‚Smarte Mobilität‘, Verbesserung des touristischen Erlebnisses mit Hilfe von Technologien und Innovation bei touristischen Produkten mit Schwerpunkt auf sozialer Nachhaltigkeit.
Vom 14.-15. Februar 2023 findet im Rahmen des ‚GTI Forum‘ auch der 29. ‚International Mediterranean Tourism Market‘ in der EXPO Tel Aviv statt. Zu deren Ausstellern gehören neben dem Ministerium für Tourismus (Israel) auch etliche Nationale Tourismus-Organisationen anderer Länder.
Es gibt Zusagen verschiedenster Reiseanbieter sowie namhafter globaler Unternehmen von jedem Kontinent. In diesem Jahr stehen die Staaten der Abraham-Accords mit Teilnehmern wie ‚Conrad Abu Dhabi Etihad Towers‘ (VAE) oder ‚Conrad Rabat Arzana‘ (Marokko) im Fokus der Messe.

Israel, one of the leading countries in the start-up world, is organizing the ‘Global Tourism Innovation Forum‘ (GTI Forum) from 14 to 17 February 2023 in cooperation with the World Tourism Organization (UNWTO).
Tourism and innovation do not always go hand in hand. The tourism industry is based on human contact. The Corona crisis has brought about significant changes, especially in recent years. Innovation and technology have revolutionized the tourism and travel sector.
Some areas of this labor-intensive industry have been radically transformed. Nonetheless, personal service and person-to-person contact naturally remain the core of the customer experience, leaving a deep impression and lasting memories on both tourists and hosts.
As the tourism world recovers from the COVID-19 pandemic crisis, risks remain. The explosive and immediate growth in travel and tourism demand has left many industry segments in dire need of technological solutions to deal with the impact of the crisis.
The need for innovative thinking, integrating technology and fostering the spirit of innovation to achieve new breakthrough solutions has increased tenfold.
The ‘GTI Forum‘ examines the connection between the tourism world and the innovation and technology worlds. The forum will discuss topics such as: how innovation and technology can solve the labor shortage, ‘Smart Mobility’, improving the tourism experience with the help of technology and innovation in tourism products with a focus on social sustainability.
From 14th to 15th February 2023, as part of the ‘GTI Forum’, the 29th ‘International Mediterranean Tourism Market’ will also take place at the EXPO Tel Aviv. The exhibitors include not only the Ministry of Tourism (Israel) but also a number of national tourism organizations from other countries.
