TEL AVIV UNIVERSITY: TOP TEN OF GLOBAL ENTREPRENEUSHIP

What great news despite the war. Israel performs and performs. One of the many reasons why anti-Semites hate Israel. Of course, none of the many seemingly rational factors explain the genocidal Jew-hatred. But that’s another topic. Back to the good news.

The press release of Tel Aviv University provides the facts: “Tel Aviv University (TAU) continues to lead in global entrepreneurship, ranking 7th worldwide and 1st outside the USA in the 2024 Pitchbook Ranking. This achievement is driven by 893 TAU alumni with bachelor’s degrees, who have founded 755 companies over the past decade, raising an impressive $29.8 billion in total capital.

The annual Pitchbook Ranking, published by the prominent business data research firm, tracks startups raising capital in the U.S. and lists the world’s top 50 universities according to the number of entrepreneurs among their alumni.

TAU’s high global standing places it alongside elite American institutions including Stanford, UC Berkeley, MIT, Penn, and Harvard, while surpassing Yale (11), UC Davis (12), and Princeton (14).

Additionally, three other Israeli universities made the list: the Technion (16), Hebrew University (30), and Ben-Gurion University (47).

Of the five largest companies founded by TAU alumni, Pitchbook highlights three notable ventures: Generate, which raised $4.3 billion, Lendbuzz with $1.2 billion, and Next Insurance with $1.1 billion.

In the ranking of company founders with MBA degrees, Tel Aviv University’s Coller School of Management places 13th globally. TAU’s business school stands out as the only Israeli one among the top 25, surpassing prestigious institutions like Yale (23) and Oxford (19).”
