Yossi Dagan, Head of the Samaria Regional Council, returned from his diplomatic mission to the USA of Trump and the Republicans.
The message Dagan brought home is very clear: Washington will say yes when Israel declares sovereignty over Judea, Shomron and Jerusalem with the Temple Mount.
The bad news: The Israeli government under Prime Minister Netanyahu has just to decide to do so. Why bad news? The government and its Prime Minister are well-known and legendary for their hesitation, procrastination and mountains of delay. A lot of good and huge opportunities went down the rivers.
Dagan said to Arutz Sheva: “Netanyahu can apply sovereignty in Judea and Samaria (…) I am standing here in Washington, but the ball, as I mentioned, is not here in Washington. We are here to influence, to convince, to teach and also to pressure, but the ball was, is and will always be in Jerusalem. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and our dear friends and ministers, the ball is in your court. You can exercise sovereignty as soon as the Trump administration takes office. We, the Samaria Regional Council, together with all those who love the Land of Israel, will continue to explain, to convince, to bring the members of Congress and the Senate on tours, to come to them, but the ball is in Jerusalem. You can apply sovereignty and you will have significant support from everyone here at the Capitol.”
That’s it. Nothing to add. But what should we await when the government can’t even put the bureaucracy and the deep state into place? Anyway. The short-term aim is: Israel must survive till the 20th of January and then swiftly win the war without any delay. After the victory, elections with new political heads and parties are immediately needed.
