War in Samaria (Israel): Three Dead and Eight severely wounded

The war waged by “Palestinians” against Jews in the Jewish heartland of Samaria and Judea is taking on increasingly dramatic proportions. These are not just “simple” terrorist attacks, which would be bad enough, but one must speak of a war scenario.

All “Palestinian” organizations are to be viewed as enemies in this scenario. Iran has a front deep in Israel. It must be handled like Hamas in Aza and Hezbollah in South Lebanon.

What happened between Kedumim and Funduq (Samaria)? According to the IDF: “Following the initial report, terrorists opened fire toward a civilian bus and vehicles adjacent to Al Funduq. As a result of the attack, several civilians were injured to varying degrees and are currently receiving medical treatment. Israeli Security Forces are pursuing the terrorists, setting up roadblocks and encircling several towns in the area.“

There are two killed, and eight wounded – including two women in critical condition. One of the wounded is a 4-year-old girl.

Sergeant Elad Yaakov Vinklestein has been named as the man who was killed in the war attack in Samaria this morning (cleared for publication). He was an investigator at the police station in Ariel.

Reactions

Minister Bezalel Smotrich said in reaction to this war attack: “Those who rely on the Palestinian Authority to ensure the security of Israeli citizens have woken up again to a morning when terrorists are slaughtering Jewish residents. Funduq, Nablus, and Jenin must look like Jabaliya, so that Kfar Saba does not, God forbid, become like Kfar Aza.” Agreed. We cannot continue to look away and fool ourselves about the “PA” and all the other “Palestinian” organizations. They are enemy.

Minister of Defense, Yisrael Katz said: “I have instructed the IDF to take forceful action in any place where the tracks of the murderers lead them. We will not accept the Gaza reality in Judea and Samaria, and whoever follows in the path of Hamas in Gaza and allows and sponsors the murder and harm of Jews will pay a heavy price.”

Wrong, Mr Katz. The ‘heavy price rhetoric’ is wrong. No heavy price will deter those antisemitic and anti-democratic followers aka terrorists of the terror ideology “Palestianism” to stop.

The equation of heavy price, land or money for peace imploded on the 7th of October 2023. This kind of equation is done. There is no partner on the other side. There was never a partner, there is no partner, and there would be no partner.

Yossi Dagan, head of the Samaria Regional Council said to Arutz Sheva: “We demand that the government and the senior IDF command abandon the misconception about the Palestinian Authority, confiscate all illegal weapons, and begin to fight against Mahmoud Abbas, who is perpetrating this terror against us. The blood of our brothers here on the road cries out to us. These attacks can be prevented! We demand security,“

The Yesha Council responded to the attack quoted as in Arutz Sheva: “How much longer will we cry out? How much more can we demand? Iran is establishing itself in Judea and Samaria, and the government of Israel and the IDF are not changing their strategy. We are mourning the murder of innocent citizens on this difficult morning, praying for the recovery of the wounded, and demanding that the government and army crush and defeat Iranian terrorism. Nablus must look like Gaza; Jenin like southern Lebanon.”
