The IDF confirms that the IAF struck Houthi targets in Yemen.

The Prime Minister of Israel, Benyamin Netanyahu, stated: “As we pledged, the Houthis are paying, and will continue to pay, a heavy price for their aggression against us. Today we attacked terrorist targets of the Houthi terrorist regime in the western coastal strip and deep inside Yemen. The Houthis are Iranian proxies and serve the terrorist goals of the Iranian axis in the Middle East. They pose a danger to Israel and the entire region, including a threat to global freedom of navigation. I repeat: We will not tolerate harm to our citizens and our country. We will act with determination and force against any entity that threatens the State of Israel – wherever and whenever necessary.“

There is no such thing as an understanding or rationale of deterrence among Jihadists. Only neutralizing their capabilities works. Fact.

Defense Minister Israel Katz “The IDF’s attack today in Yemen is a clear and sharp message to the leader of the Houthi terrorist organization Abd al-Malik al-Houthi and the heads of the terrorist organization Houthi in Yemen: there will be no immunity for anyone. We will hunt you and destroy the terrorist infrastructure you have established.“

At the same time, reported Arutz Sheva, US and British forces reportedly struck targets as well. Al Arabiya reported that the strikes targeted underground targets in the Amran area.

Open Source Reports posted on X: “Yemen is currently under fire both by Israel and US, reports of over 20 strikes so far.” It is said that about 20 IAF jets are attacking the Islamic terror organization Houthis.

In an official statement the IDF said: “Following repeated UAV and surface-to-surface missile attacks against Israel, the IDF struck Houthi terrorist regime military targets on the western coast and inland Yemen. Among the targets were:

Hizaz power station, a central source of energy for the Houthi terrorist regime in its military activities.

Al Hudaydah & Ras Isa ports on the western coast, containing Houthi military infrastructure.

The Houthi terrorist regime is a central part of the Iranian axis of terror, and their attacks on international shipping vessels and routes continue to destabilize the region and the wider world. The IDF will continue to operate at any distance against any threat to the State of Israel and its citizens.“

The Houthis – Background

Some non-exhaustive notes about the ‘Houthis’. The Houthis are a Zaidi Shia Muslim political and military terror organization in Yemen. They are a proxy of the Iranian Mullah regime and part of the so-called “Ring of Fire” or ‘axis of resistance’ which has been folded by Israel. The final blow is awaited by toppling the Mullah regime.

• Origins: The Islamic terror organisation, formally known as ‘Ansar Allah’ (Supporters of God), began in the late 1990s under the leadership of Hussein Badreddin al-Houthi.
• Political and Military Engagement: The Islamic terror organization gained significant momentum through opposition to Yemen’s government policies, particularly its alliance with the United States and Saudi Arabia. After the terrorist Hussein al-Houthi was neutralized by Yemeni forces in 2004, the movement transformed into more militant actions.
• Control Over Sana’a: By 2014, the Houthis, exploiting widespread dissatisfaction with the government, seized control of Yemen’s capital, Sana’a, and much of the north of the country. A Saudi-led coalition intervened against the terror organization Houthis in 2015 on behalf of the internationally recognized Yemeni government.
• Islam: The Houthis are known for their slogan, “God is Great, Death to America, Death to Israel, Curse on the Jews, Victory to Islam.” This demonstrates their anti-Western, antisemitic and anti-democratic stance. It is all about Islam.
