Die führende israelische Waffenschmiede ELBIT mit Sitz in Haifa hat 2020 ein Rekordjahr zu verzeichnen und Apple baut gerade auf 30.000 qm in der Haifa Bay Area, wie auf Glocalist berichtet. Das Technion schließlich gilt als eine der führenden Universitäten der Welt für technische Innovation und bildet das verläßliche Rückgrat der Wissensgesellschaft in Haifa. Und hier ist mal nur über die Spitzen berichtet.
Intel, als der größte private Arbeitgeber Israels, passt da sehr gut in Bild. Intel will mit rund 200 Millionen USD den bestehenden Standort in West-Haifa im MATAM Industrie Park um einen Campus erweitern, der alle Superlativen spielt. Es sollen mit diesem Campus weitere 1.000 neue Arbeitsplätze bei Intel Israel geschaffen werden.
Intel weist in Israel rund 14.000 Mitarbeitern, darunter 7.000 in Intels Herz, den Entwicklungszentren an vier Standorten (Jerusalem, Haifa, Peta Tikva und Kirjat), und rund 5.000 in der Fertigung, sowie 2.100 bei den Tochterunternehmen Mobileye, Moovit und Habana Labs, der größte Firmenkauf in der israelischen Firmengeschichte, wie auf Glocalist berichtet. Weiters finden rund 60.000 Menschen Lohn und Brot durch Intel über die verschiedenen Umwegrentabilitäten.
Grob kann man sagen, jeder Arbeitsplatz bei Intel schafft zwei zusätzliche Arbeitsplätze außerhalb Intel Israel. Eine großartige Bilanz, auf die Intel und Israel stolz sein können.
Das Promotionvideo bringt dies auch klar zum Ausdruck: Hier ist man Wunder gewohnt und man ist gekommen, um nicht zur zu bleiben, sondern besser zu werden. Es scheint als gäbe es für Intel in Israel nur eine Alternative für gesteckte Ziele: Ziele erreichen oder übertreffen.

Google plans to locate its chip innovation team in Haifa, as reported on Glocalist. Leading Israeli arms manufacturer ELBIT, based in Haifa, is having a record year in 2020, and Apple is currently building on 30,000 sq. ft. in the Haifa Bay Area, as reported on Glocalist. Finally, the Technion is considered one of the world’s leading universities for technical innovation and is the reliable backbone of Haifa’s knowledge society. Intel, as the largest private employer in Israel, fits very well into the picture. Intel wants to expand the existing location in West Haifa in the MATAM Industrial Park by a campus with about 200 million USD, which plays all superlatives.
