Die Idee der Geburt eines Museums und sein Weiterbestehen sind Thema der neuen Ausstellung im TAMA, die heute eröffnet wird.
Die Ausstellung widmet sich dem Ursprung der ‚Institution Museum‘ sowie deren Geschichte; ein Teil der Ausstellung beinhaltet thematisch verschiedene Formen der Erinnerungen des Körpers.

Die Ausstellung beschäftigt sich mit den Grundlagen des ersten, heute als Museum verstandenen, ‚Musentempels‘ in Alexandria, Ägypten – das ‚Museion‘ aus dem 3. Jahrhundert (vor gentiler Zeitrechnung). Es war gleichermaßen der Verbund der unnachahmlichen, untergegangenen Alexandrinischen Bibliothek und seiner Akademie und beruhte ursprünglich in seiner Konzeption auf den 9 Musen des Altertums.
Die weltbedeutende griechische Bildungseinrichtung ging mit der Eroberung und Zerstörung Alexandrias im 7. Jahrhundert durch muslimische Kolonialisten endgültig und vollständig zu Grunde.
Die Idee der Geburt eines Museums und seiner Historie steht im Mittelpunkt der Ausstellung. Sie beherbergt Kunstwerke, sich erinnernde Körper. Ein Körper im Körper, so die Website. Und weiter: Eine Bewegung in zwei Richtungen – vorwärts und rückwärts, in Richtung der Bereiche der Vorstellungskraft und der Bereiche der Erinnerung – treibt somit die Ausstellung an, die in der Galerie und in den öffentlichen Räumen des Museums beherbergt ist.
Sechs Wochen lang wird Live-Kunst im Museum zu sehen sein: das performative Bühnenformat und das Ausstellungsformat; die Black-Box-Logik des Theaters und die White-Cube-Logik der Galerie. Kuratorin der Ausstellung, die bis zum 25.02.2023 für das interessierte Publikum geöffnet sein wird, ist Ruth Direktor.

The idea of the birth of a museum and its continued existence is the subject of the new exhibition at TAMA, which opens today.
The exhibition is dedicated to the origin of the ‘Institution Museum’ and its history; part of the exhibition is thematically related to the memories of the body.

The exhibition deals with the basics of the first ‘temple of the muses’ in Alexandria, Egypt, which is now understood as a museum – the ‘Museion’ from the 3rd century BC. It was equally the combination of the inimitable, lost Great Library and its academy and was originally based in its conception on the 9 Muses of antiquity.
The world-renowned Greek educational institution perished completely when Muslim colonialists conquered and finally destroyed completely Alexandria in the 7th century.
The idea of the birth of a museum and its history is the focus of the exhibition. It houses works of art, bodies that remember. A body within a body, according to the website. And further: A movement in two directions – forward and backward, towards the realms of imagination and the realms of memory – thus propels the exhibition housed in the gallery and in the public spaces of the museum.
Live art will be on display in the museum for six weeks: the performative stage format and the exhibition format; the black box logic of the theater and the white cube logic of the gallery. Ruth Director is the curator of the exhibition, which will be open to the interested public until February 25, 2023.
