Ich bin wirklich nicht daran interessiert, darüber noch weiter zu diskutieren, aber die Hysterie der Linken hier in Israel über die Justizreform ist lächerlich. Aus ihrer „Just not Bibi“-Taktik hat sie, die Linke, nichts gelernt. Negative Politik funktioniert nicht. Hör auf zu sagen, was du nicht willst, sondern biete eine Alternative an.

Zu versuchen, alles, was diese Regierung tut, als das Ende unserer Demokratie zu bezeichnen, ist ein Witz. Willst du wissen, was undemokratisch ist? Die Ergebnisse einer freien Wahl nicht akzeptieren, bei der die Linke im Grunde zerstört wurde. Kommt darüber hinweg. Ihr habt verloren. Mach weiter. Meine Güte, ist das so schwer zu verstehen?!

Und der ganze „Investoren werden ihr Geld investieren“-Mist? Das ist es, was es ist: Ein Mist. Ich habe im vergangenen Monat persönlich mit Dutzenden führender Investoren auf der ganzen Welt gesprochen. Möchtet ihr raten, wie viele von ihnen diese Reform überhaupt erwähnt haben? Null. Genau Null.

Protestiert weiter auf der Straße. Es ist euer demokratisches Recht. Schauen wir, wie das funktioniert? Die Meinungen der anderen Seite akzeptieren und gleichzeitig respektvoll widersprechen. Die Quintessenz? Die ‘Checks and Balances’ in diesem Land sind grundlegend aus den Fugen geraten und müssen reformiert werden.

Der Oberste Gerichtshof hier hat VIEL zu viel Macht und der Oberste Gerichtshof scheint seine Rolle vergessen zu haben. Sie sind Richter. Deshalb heißt es Justizsystem. Also, sprecht Urteile, ihr Richter, aber hört auf, euch in Politik- und Sicherheitsfragen einzumischen. Das ist nicht euer Platz.

Zusammenfassend, eine Reform ist dringend erforderlich. Euch gefällt nicht, was die Regierung vorschlägt? Erkennt zuallererst einmal an, dass Millionen von Israelis mit Euch nicht einverstanden sind und diese Regierung gewählt haben. Schlagt eine Alternative vor, aber hört mit der Panikmache auf. Sie, die Panikmache, funktioniert nicht!

I am really not interested in debating this but the hysteria of the left here about the judicial reform is comical. They didn’t learn from their “Just not Bibi” tactic. Negative politics doesn’t work. Stop saying what you don’t want and offer an alternative.

Trying to call everything this government does the end of our democracy is a joke. Wanna know what’s undemocratic? Not accepting the results of a free election in which the left was basically destroyed. Get over it. You lost. Move on. Sheesh.

And the whole “Investors will put their money” crap? That’s what it is. Crap. I’ve personally spoken to tens of leading investors around the world in the past month. Wanna guess how many of them even mentioned the reform? Zero. Exactly zero!

So they can continue protesting in the streets. It’s their democratic right. See how that works? Accepting the opinions of the other side while being able to disagree respectfully. The bottom line? The checks and balances in this country are fundamentally flawed and need reform.

The Supreme Court here has WAY too much power and they seem to have forgotten their role. They are judges. That’s why it’s called the judicial system. So judge and stop getting involved in politics and security issues. It’s not your place.

So in conclusion, a reform is desperately needed. You don’t like what the government is proposing? First of all, recognize that millions of Israelis disagree with you and elected this government. Then suggest an alternative and stop with the scare tactics. They don’t work!
