So-called mainstream media love to single out Israel in negative pictures and slures. It is called anti-Semitism if you deploy double standards, demonize and delegitimate Israel.
Honest Reporting, a NGO monitoring the antisemitic bias of media and on social media wrote in its recent press release: “The year 2022 was the deadliest in recent years for journalists and other media workers, according to a new report by the Committee to Protect Journalists (CPJ).
More than half of the 67 deaths occurred in just three countries: Ukraine, Mexico and Haiti. But in a misleading attempt to paint Israel as the world’s #1 threat to journalists’ safety, the Los Angeles Times, USA Today and others chose a photo of Shireen Abu Akleh to illustrate the story.
Investigations by the US State Department and others concluded that Israeli forces probably fired the deadly shot, but that there was no indication the IDF intentionally targeted Abu Akleh.
Yet the widely-covered CPJ report shockingly classified Abu Akleh’s death as “murder,” claiming that she was “singled out in direct retaliation… or to head off a sensitive story.””
