Europe has decided to reward the genocidal terror of the Iranian terrorist organizations Hamas, PA, and Hezbollah. Ireland, Spain, and Norway want to unilaterally recognize an anti-Semitic, anti-democratic terrorist state “Palestine”.
The reactions in Israeli politics have been corresponding. Pars pro toto Prime Minister Netanyahu said: “The intention of several European countries to recognize a Palestinian state is a reward for terrorism. 80% of the Palestinians in Judea and Samaria support the terrible massacre of October 7. This evil cannot be given a state. This would be a terrorist state. It will try to repeat the massacre of October 7 again and again; we will not consent to this. Rewarding terrorism will not bring peace and neither will it stop us from defeating Hamas.“
The president of the State of Israel, Isaaq Herzog, said: “These are futile steps that won’t help any progress in the region…and are adverse to the ability to release the hostages. They can be deemed as a reward actually…”
On the other side is pars pro toto the Kingdom of Saudia-Arabia which wants “normalization” with Israel. This wish imploded. Saudi-Arabia applauded Spain, Ireland, and Norway for officially recognizing an antisemitic and antidemocratic “Palestine” as an independent state.
The Jerusalem Post wrote in its editorial: “Hamas should not be rewarded for terrorism with a Palestinian state. Recognizing Palestine in the aftermath of the October 7 massacre is not a step toward peace; it is a step away from it. It signals to terrorists that their actions can yield political rewards.“

The leader of the left, Benny Gantz, preferred to give no statement on X. The concern of his most recent post was to blame indirectly the war cabinet which he is a member of.

Yair Lapid also shines with a non-statement.

Due to his position Israel Katz, Minister of Foreign Affairs Israel, issued the longest statement announcing the next steps of Israel against this one-sided hostile act of those European states:
“I have instructed the immediate recall of Israel’s ambassadors to Ireland and Norway for consultations in light of these countries’ decisions to recognize a Palestinian state. I’m sending a clear and unequivocal message to Ireland and Norway: Israel will not remain silent in the face of those undermining its sovereignty and endangering its security. Today’s decision sends a message to the Palestinians and the world: Terrorism pays. After the Hamas terror organization carried out the largest massacre of Jews since the Holocaust, after committing heinous sexual crimes witnessed by the world, these countries chose to reward Hamas and Iran by recognizing a Palestinian state. This distorted step by these countries is an injustice to the memory of the victims of 7/10, a blow to efforts to return the 128 hostages, and a boost to Hamas and Iran’s jihadists, which undermines the chance for peace and questions Israel’s right to self-defense. Israel will not remain silent – there will be further severe consequences. If Spain follows through on its intention to recognize a Palestinian state, a similar step will be taken against it. The Irish-Norwegian folly does not deter us; we are determined to achieve our goals: restoring security to our citizens, dismantling Hamas, and bringing the hostages home. There are no more just causes than these.“
In summary: The non-statements of the left are in their silence embarrassing and they do not have the interest of the State of Israel on their watch. Obviously, the Israeli left does not want to oppose and condemn the idea of implementing an antisemitic and anti-democratic terror state “Palestine” on Jewish soil. So far no reaction from Gantz and Lapid on X to the outrageous acknowledgment of a “Palestinian” state by Ireland, Spain, and Norway.
