Israel: Do the Left Unelected Elites of the Deep State stage a Coup d’Etat?

Dramatic developments are currently underway in Israel. The unelected left-wing elites and bureaucrats of the ‘deep state’ are, in the opinion of the government coalition and political pundits, attempting a coup d’etat.

In a joint statement (see facsimile below), the government coalition points out this danger, which they will fend off.

The background is that the incumbent and democratically elected Prime Minister Netanyahu is to testify as a witness in criminal proceedings against him. But it is war and hence no time to prepare. A very reasonable argumentation. However, the responsible court in Jerusalem wants to force this hearing, it seems by all means. Allegedly including imprisonment.

It is an unbelievable procedure according to democratic standards. No district court or any unelected state authority can summon an elected prime minister to court under threat of imprisonment.

And this in times of war. It is not just a simple war, but an existential war on seven hot frontiers and two external frontiers: the actual left-extreme US Administration Biden/Harris and the radical left of Israel supported by the Israeli oligarchs and foreign funds. The Israeli oligarchs are afraid of the planned justicial reform.

The international democratic standard of immunity of democratically elected ones seems in Israel not protective anymore. Actually, you have obviously four branches of the Israeli state and no real Constitution regulating the checks and balances.

The result is you have an unhinged deep state system leaning far left and deploying selective enforcement to the disadvantage of the non-left camp in Israel. Legislative, executive, judicative and fourth the unelected elites and bureaucracy of the ‘deep state’ which hijacked the other branches under the disguise of law and democracy.

The far-left deep state elites and the corresponding court system are weaponizing – as in the USA, Germany or Italy – the state institutions against their political opponents. It is a global threat to democracy led by unhinged left-leaning “Judges” who legalize open borders, and political witchhunts of any sort. They constantly attack free speech to push their left agenda. A left Justiciocracy looks to seize global power.

So it fits that the calls of the deep state elites to topple Minister Ben-Gvir correspond with calls of the US Dems to dismiss and boycott Minister Ben-Gvir. An obvious international conspiracy. Nearly 90 congressional Democrats call for sanctions on Smotrich and Ben-Gvir, according to Jewish Insider.

The battle cry of this self-elected and self-recruited elites is: We the enlightened ones, stand above the law in the name of the law.

Actually, we the simple citizens see a global coup d’etats against the people, against democracy. The old well-known game – We, the elites (of the deep state) vs We, the people.

Leaders of Israel’s coalition finally released the said joint statement rejecting the incapacitation of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu this Thursday.

Any declaration of incapacity lacks legal basis and is therefore invalid. Such a move would amount to a coup in every sense”, said the statement of the governmental coalition.

The statement was signed by MK Yariv Levin, MK Rabbi Aryeh Deri, Rabbi Yitzhak Goldknopf, MK Rabbi Moshe Gafni, Bezalel Smotrich, MK Itamar Ben Gvir, MK Gideon Sa’ar, and Deputy Minister Avi Maoz.

Arutz Sheva wrote: “In response, legal officials said that there was no intention to demand that Netanyahu be imprisoned while he gives his testimony in court.

The statement of the democratically elected heads of the governing coalition wrote: “At this time, the Prime Minister must continue to be at the head of the security and political campaign. We see this as a national interest. We stand and will stand on the guard of democracy. Only the people, through their elected representatives in the Knesset, will determine who will lead them and who will serve as Prime Minister.

This quote is directed against the reported attempt by the unelected court to use force to bring the incumbent Prime Minister before the court and to deprive him of his official authority for the duration of the questioning.

Miki Zohar posted to the point on X: “Affairs that are revealed dramatically on television and transcripts of investigations that are leaked to the media repeatedly turn out to be empty air and cases that collapse one after another. Aren’t all the “knights of the rule of law” tired of hanging from high stakes and being disappointed every time? We will not allow the Prime Minister to be impeached under any circumstances, forget it.

In the words of the governing, democratically elected coalition: “We, the leaders of the coalition parties, reject outright any attempt to declare the Prime Minister as a fortress, even for a very short period. Any declaration regarding a fortress lacks a legal basis and is therefore invalid. Such a move means a coup in all respects,

Amir Ettinger from Israel Hayom summarized: “The heads of the coalition parties announce that they reject any announcement of the Prime Minister’s impeachment on the grounds that it lacks a legal basis and is a violation of democracy. According to them, only the Knesset and the elected representatives will decide who will serve as Prime Minister

An international democratic standard (immunity of the elected one) without any doubt. I wonder how the deep state of Israel will come along with President-elect Donald J. Trump who holds democratic standards and free speech at the highest stake. And one prerequisite is the immunity of the elected one. Full stop.

Minister Ben-Gvir posted on X: “The attempted coup of the consultant began. The only impeachment that should be carried out is the impeachment of a legal adviser to the government, who is trying to impeach a prime minister and dismiss a minister from his position due to political positions and policy implementation.

The user Yoram wrote on Channel 14: “Just one word of the Prime Minister neede and we take to the streets. 4,000,000 million will flood the High Court and prove to the High Court who owns the house here. It’s the people, not them, it’s that simple. We need to put an end to this terrorism, if we don’t live here in peace, they won’t live either

It is irritating to see that at the same time, state security agencies are obviously trying to criminalize the Prime Minister’s office and Attorney General Gali Baharav-Miara said this Tuesday that the 7,000 planned military draft orders/conscriptions for ultra-Orthodox men must be issued immediately.

The deep state seems to provoke and cause mayhem and chaos amid an existential war of the Jewish people. Speculatively said, the Left and the deep state in Israel sense that their time is over. Basically, Netanyahu has the same task to fulfil as President-elect Donald J. Trump. To bring down the deep state and put the people as the sovereign – We, the people. I suggest that now is a very good moment to clean up and implement the full justicial reform

Tamir Morag (Channel 14) wrote on X: “A combination of factors is converging, bringing us closer to the point where Netanyahu will have to make a leadership decision to dismiss the Attorney General and cleanse the system of elements undermining Israeli democracy. These forces aim to weaken it by shifting the center of power to appointed officials, as former senior public attorney Dina Zilber once openly wrote.

Again Morag in the same post on X: “Trump’s election, his exceptional appointments, and what appears to be his uncompromising determination to cleanse U.S. politics and centers of power of deep-state mechanisms, based on a clear and unequivocal public mandate, create an atmosphere conducive to a similar cleansing operation here in Israel. The line has been crossed, the protest has collapsed, public opinion is ready, and democracy demands it—it’s time to clean the system and embark on a new path.”

Said Attorney General seeks also to overthrow sitting ministers like Itamar Ben-Gvir. However, Prime Minister Netanyahu made it clear that he would not fire the minister Ben-Gvir. Netanyahu emphasized that removing Ben-Gvir through the High Court of Justice is “the way to fast track to a constitutional crisis

Minister Ben-Gvir said: “The Attorney General wants to overthrow the government. Every Monday and Thursday they leaked against me, suddenly from the other side the Shin Bet and the advisor are conducting investigations about the leak against someone who was in the spokesperson of the Director General of the Prime Minister’s Office. I am informing you that now the advisor has been instructed that she will ask the Prime Minister to fire me.

And Minister Amichai Chikli argued another important constellation which remembers the practice of the Metternich-System: “The Attorney General’s demand to impeach a minister in the government is crossing a red line in the relationship between judicial and executive authority and amounts to a breach of trust. If Minister Ben-Gvir has committed an offence, an investigation can be opened against him and an indictment can be filed. If the ombudsman is not satisfied with his actions and appointment, she must hold out until the next elections, she has no legal right to use her position and position to promote political agendas. I must also point out that the inclusion of the Shin Bet chief’s letter as part of this impeachment attempt is very disturbing. In which countries does the position of the secret police justify the impeachment of a minister? Every citizen of Israel deserves to live in a democratic country with clear and equal rules of the game. The Knesset elects by ballot, a government sworn in by the Knesset, and only an explicit legal ground can remove an elected official.

It seems to be that the left elites of the ‘deep state’ are putting everything on the line to overthrow the government and protect themselves. Not only because Trump is no friend of the deep state, but the elections, likely scheduled immediately after the war, will be the end of all left-wing, anti-Jewish politics in Israel and will put an end to the many socialist features of the State of Israel serving the so-called ‘First Israel’.

Finally, Israel deserves answers to what exactly happened on 7/10 and how literally the complete elites, seniors and heads of the security establishment disappeared for hours. An independent commission elected by the elected ones is the only approach to bringing light into Israel’s darkest hours. Israel deserves better elites and a genuine democracy.

After the war, there will arise a non-socialist democracy with a real democratic constitution, where the people have the final say and where free speech is guaranteed. Israel, the only democratic, Jewish state declaring its sovereignty over Aza, Judea, Shomron, South Lebanon and Jerusalem with the Temple Mount will fulfil the prophecy. Make Israel Great Again.
