This decision strengthens the Golan communities, among other things: education, renewable energy, the establishment of a student village, and an organizational development plan that will assist the Golan Regional Council in absorbing the new residents who will arrive.”

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu finally said: “Strengthening the Golan is strengthening the State of Israel, and it is especially important at this time. We will continue to hold onto it, make it flourish, and settle it.”

In the meantime, Russia has flown out almost all of its embassy staff from Damascus. The European Union wants to maintain the sanctions against Syria, which is a good idea because the new regime is also a murderous, anti-democratic regime that has made the destruction of all minorities and the State of Israel its mission.

The Israeli Minister of Defense Israel Katz said: “(…) Israel must be capable of defending itself. The immediate threats to the state have not disappeared, and the recent developments in Syria have increased the severity of the threat.“
