First of all, these are the bunker-busting bombs weighing in with 2,000 pounds that the US Democratic President Biden had held back for more than half a year (April 2024).
To date, these have not arrived in Israel, although it has been rumored several times that the ban has been lifted several times by Biden. However, to date, no weapons or ammunition from the USA have reached Israel.
Now Israeli media, all of which are based on a report by AXIOS, are reporting that the White House has finally released these bombs (and arms deliveries in principle).
AXIOS wrote (25.01.2025, 22:10 PM Israeli Time): “The Trump White House instructed the Pentagon to release the hold imposed by the Biden administration on the supply of 2,000-pound bombs to Israel, three Israeli officials told Axios. (…) The officials said that 1,800 MK-84 bombs, which were held in storage in the U.S., will be put on a ship and delivered to Israel in the coming days.“
Israel Hayom is reporting the same relying on this source and additionally wrote: “An Israeli source confirmed this evening (Saturday) that the shipment of heavy bombs that was delayed by the Biden administration has been released for Israeli use.“
And Jerusalem Post wrote: “The White House released 1,800 one-ton bomb shipment frozen by former US president Joe Biden, an Israeli official told The Jerusalem Post.“
Finally Channel 14 wrote: “An Israeli official confirmed that Trump ordered the lifting of restrictions imposed by the Biden administration on the shipment of one-ton bombs to Israel. • It appears that the administration was waiting for the confirmation of the new Secretary of Defense, who only passed the Senate yesterday after a lengthy struggle.”
To date no official press release of the White House, Pentagon or DoD can confirm this (25.01.2025, 23:00 PM Israeli Time). So, that’s not much and is near to hearsay. The hearsay of the anonymeous sources is quoted that those bombs will arrive within days resp. “soon”. What ever this means. Again Israeli media are rather poor providing verifiable facts.
In the meantime the new secretary of the DoD Pete Hegseth got elected by the Congress. He released very quickly a kind of mission statement. But he did not release the 1,800 bombs to Israel who is said to be in final charge according to Channel 14.
After a careful read my 5 Cents are: China is the main threat what I regard as fair, reasonable and agreed. However, all others wars have to be pacified to release ressources for the main threat.
That means, Israel has to pay the price and get in exchange nothing? As usual? For the moment it seems to me, we are sold by the Trump Administration. After the surrender “deal” we may or may not get ammunitions and arms, but have to accept any “peace deal”.
And the recent press release by the White House is everything else than reflecting the reality.
Of course all Israeli is happy that four hostages are finally released.

Just humiliation for Israel IMHO. The “deal” is a surrender deal for Israel. Israel has to pay. Not Hamas, not Qatar, not Egypt, not Turkey, not Iran. Just Israel. Trump is pressurizing quickly his allies, but Qatar and the rest of the Islamistic gang are not pressurized, no tariffs, no threats. Nothing.

And still no arms and ammunition arrived in Israel. Trump’s special envoy Witkoff got about 600 million USD from Qatar, the anti-Israel and pro-Iran ‘Koch network’ is installing one anti-Israel agent after the next and Trump starts to pressurize Israel to withdraw from Lebanon although Hezbollah is not behind the Litani river and not disarmed. Hamas and Hezboilla are allowed to break the terms of the ceasefire as they wish without any consequences.
“President Trump has played hardball with Canada, Panama, Mexico and Greenland. But he seems unable to stand up to Qatar. What’s the problem here? Why let a state sponsor of terrorism and Muslim Brotherhood influence buyer get a way with murder?“, asked Barry Tigay.

Noteworthy the post of Caroline Glick. She gave some backgrounds about the ‘Hostages Families Forum’ which is a very small but almost exclusively quoted by Israeli media. The by far largest group is the ‘Tikva Forum’ which is almost ignored by the Israel “main stream media”.
