Normalization with KSA! Which Normalization?

What kind of normalization is meant when one speaks of the “normalization” of relations between Israel and the Islamic radical Wahhabist Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, which is very, very far away from democratic standards?

Israel has no border conflict with Saudi Arabia, they are not immediate neighbours, and Israel and Saudi Arabia have never had a military conflict. There are no embassies. One could speak of mutual ignorance.

Israel and Saudi Arabia see each other, but they avoid each other. Like an ant and a spider. They have known about each other for millions of years and are careful to avoid any crossing with each other. So there is an invisible frame that works quite well.

Normalization. Which Normalization?

What does normalization mean in a radical Islamic context? It is very simple. For Jews, this means Dhimmitude at best. That’s it.

Saudi Arabia’s list of demands towards Israel reads accordingly. It is full of brazen and unacceptable demands that Israel must make before normalization can be achieved. The normalization consists of opening an embassy and officially acknowledging Israel’s existence. Not much.

The normalization will not bring peace, because nobody in the Middle East listens to the Kingdom. The Jihadists and other lunatic Islamists will continue to seek ways to annihilate Israel. Will KSA stop them, fight them with the riffle in the hand? No.

What are the demands from the Kingdom? The Kingdom wants Israel to allow Hamas back, to end the war in Aza immediately and withdraw from Aza, to present a binding timetable for the establishment of an antisemitic and antidemocratic terror state “Palestinian” state on the soil of biblical Israel, to accept the division of Jerusalem, and for the USA to massively arm Saudi Arabia and enable it to enter the nuclear energy sector with the prospect of an atomic bomb.

Well, when those are the conditions, better no normalization. Israel does not need an embassy behind high-security fences in Riad.

What about Saudia Arabia?

I believe that the Kingdom will have to live without “normalization”. Israel should wait until the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia presents a binding timetable for transforming the Kingdom into a liberal democracy. Then we will talk about “normalization” again.

One should be honest and speak more of an alliance of convenience, where only the common interest is in focus. The containment of Iran, although this interest has also recently changed due to China’s initiative, whereby Iran and Saudi Arabia have established diplomatic relations.

Before any normalization talks can begin, however, the war must first be won.

PS: I must admit, that I changed my opinion. Two years ago I was very optimistic about the normalization. Why? An antisemitic and antidemocratic terror state “Palestine” was 2022 not on the wishlist of KSA. That simple. This change of position by the KSA within 2 years is to me a clear sign. You cannot trust an Islamic state.
