Suspension. “Israeli citizens lived under the illusion that they live in a democracy” (Chikli)

Without complete judicial reform and a full-blown Constitution, and because the elected government and Knesset do not 120% rule Israel (as it should be in a democracy), but the unelected deep state, the democratic, Jewish state is partly suspended.

Due to this fact, this blog will suspend reports for the categories’ politics’ and ‘opinion’ related to Israel’s internal policy.

Free speech is, according to US democratic standards, not guaranteed anymore in Israel. Once upon a time, it was. If the editor of the Jerusalem Post can be arrested by the Shin Bet (equivalent to the FBI) without a warrant, everything is possible.

As Minister Chikli said: “(…) until today, many Israeli citizens lived under the illusion that they live in a democracy.

We will resume reporting on politics and business of Israel as soon as free speech is guaranteed again and the elected government and Knesset rule Israel again. About all other subjects may be reported on.
