Ehud Barak, vorm. Ministerpräsident Israels, steigt in das medizinische Cannabis-Geschäft ein

Nachdem Intercure (InterCure Ltd. (TASE: INCR-L) im September den Pionier medizischer Cannabisforschung und Herstellung in Israel gekauft hat – Canndoc – hat man sich nun Ehud Barak als neuen Vorsitzenden an Bord geholt. Es wird eine internationale Expansion angestrebt, für welche Barak verantwortlich zeichnen wird.

Intercure plant seinen Namen auf Canndoc Pharma zu ändern. Canndoc ist an der Börse Tel Aviv (TASE) notiert. Im Juni erwarb Intercure für rund 2 Millionen Euro erste Anteile an Canndoc.

Canndoc ist seit 10 Jahren am Markt unsd bildet die gesamte Wertschöpfungskette der medizinischen Cannabisverwendung ab: Vom Anbau über Herstellung medizinisch rreiner Produkte mit entsprechenden Labors bis zum direkten Verkauf an tausende Privatpersonen, die die Produkte regelmäßig beziehen.

Seit seinem Investment in Canndoc stieg der Aktienkurs der Intercure Ltd. alleine im Juni um rund 500%.

Gegenüber GLOBES sagt Barak: “Medical cannabis has proven potential to aid and improve the lives of many patients around the world, and Western countries have adopted and are adopting it as a recognized medical treatment. The company is well positioned to break into these markets. I intend to lead the company’s international growth strategy and to take an active part in its business development with the aim of turning Canndoc Pharma into a global leader in its field.”
