Israel ist ohne Zweifel einer der fünf Staaten, die die ‘Quanten Vorherrschaft’ erringen können. Aktuell sind auf den Sprung zur Quanten Vorherrschaft die USA, China, UK, Südkorea und eben Israel.
Israel ist in jeglicher Hinsicht top positioniert, so beispielsweise mit den Quanten Eco-System rund um das israelische Start-up ‘Quantum Machines‘ oder durch seine hervorragende Platzierung im globalen Ranking von Artificial Intelligence. Auch sind zahlreiche Forschungszentren internationaler Unternehmen zu nennen, die ihren Hauptsitz in Israel haben.
Die Frage der Sicherheit steht ohne Zweifel im Mittelpunkt der Anstrengung. Der CEO der israelischen Innovationsbehörde (IIA) Dror Bin führt weiter aus: “Das Quantencomputing ist eine Technologie, die die israelische Industrie nicht ignorieren kann. Die Industrie muss sich Wissen aneignen und Zugang zu Infrastrukturen erhalten, mit denen sie Wachstumsmotoren für Aktivitäten entwickeln kann, bei denen sie eine Führungsrolle übernehmen will.“
2 Säulen sollen zu Quantum Vorherrschaft führen
Die Investitionen in das Projekt Quantencomputer werden in zwei parallele und sich ergänzende Bereiche fließen: Die israelische Innovationsbehörde (IIA) will sich auf den Aufbau und die Entwicklung einer Quantencomputer-Infrastruktur konzentrieren, mit der Berechnungen direkt oder über einen Cloud-Zugang durchgeführt werden können. Im Fokus steht Optimierung des Quantencomputers.
Das IMOD DDR&D wird als zweite Säule ein nationales Zentrum mit Quantenkompetenz einrichten, das im Zentrum eines israelischen Ökosystems stehen und lokale Kompetenzen aufbauen soll. Unabhängigkeit ist Trumpf.
Das geplante Zentrum wird mit Hochschulen, der Industrie und allen Einrichtungen der nationalen Forschungs- und Entwicklungsinfrastruktur (TELEM) zusammenarbeiten und sich mit den zahlreichen Aufgaben bei der Entwicklung eines Quantenprozessors befassen, einschließlich Hardware, Steuerung, Optimierung, Algorithmik und Schnittstellenaspekte und mehr.
Das Ziel sei schließlich die Entwicklung eines vollständigen Quantencomputers, so der Anspruch und das Ziel. Unabhängigkeit ist Trumpf, sieht man auf die aktuellen globalen Ereignisse, wo das Verhalten von Deutschland und der EU hinsichtich Bündnistreue und Einsatz für Freiheit und Demokratie einige schwerwiegende Zweifel aufgeworfen hat. Gerade die aktuellen Entwicklungen zeigen, dass man sich auf Bündnis- und Unterstützungszusagen nicht verlassen kann. Gerade von Deutschland, das der größte europäische Handelspartner des islamistischen Terrorregime Teheran ist, dessen Staatsziel die Vernichtung Israel ist.
Die oft von deutschen Politikern geäußerte “Staatsräson Deutschlands”, Israel im Krisenfall zu helfen, ist angesichts der Maßnahmen Deutschlands für die Ukraine mehr als bloß in Zweifel zu ziehen. Deutschlands Zusagen sind keinen Pfifferling wert. Israel ist daher gut beraten verstärkt auf Unabhängigkeit zu setzen und sich nicht auf unsichere “Partner” wie Deutschland zu verlassen.
Dr. Danny Gold, Leiter des IMOD DDR&D, sagt abschließend: “Quantencomputing zeigt auf allen Ebenen Anzeichen dafür, dass es eine wichtige zukünftige Komponente für die Sicherheit des Staates und seine technologische Überlegenheit sein wird. Der Beginn dieses Prozesses im Rahmen des nationalen Programms ist ein wichtiger Schritt auf dem Weg zur israelischen Unabhängigkeit in diesem Bereich.“

Israel is raising about $62 million (or NIS 200 million) to build a quantum computer. Funding is provided by the Ministry of Defense (IMOD DDR&D) and the Israeli Innovation Authority (IIA).
Israel is undoubtedly one of the five countries that can achieve ‘quantum supremacy’. Currently, the USA, China, the UK, South Korea and Israel are on the leap to quantum supremacy.
Israel is in a top position in every respect, for example with the quantum eco-system around the Israeli start-up ‘Quantum Machines’ or through its excellent ranking in the global ranking of Artificial Intelligence. There are also numerous research centers of international companies that have their headquarters in Israel.
The issue of security is undoubtedly at the heart of the effort. CEO of the Israel Innovation Authority Dror Bin continues, “Quantum computing is a technology Israeli industry cannot ignore. The industry must develop knowledge and access to infrastructure in which it can develop growth engines for activities in which it will decide to lead.”
2 Pillars should led to Quantum Supremacy
Investment in the quantum computing project will flow into two parallel and complementary areas: The Israel Innovation Authority (IIA) plans to focus on building and developing a quantum computing infrastructure that can perform computations directly or via cloud access. The focus is on optimization of quantum computing.
The IMOD DDR&D will establish a national center of quantum expertise as a second pillar to be at the center of an Israeli ecosystem and build local expertise. Independence is the trump card.
The planned center will collaborate with academia, industry, and all institutions of the National Research and Development Infrastructure (TELEM) to address the many tasks involved in developing a quantum processor, including hardware, control, optimization, algorithmic and interface aspects, and more.
The ultimate goal, they claim, is to develop a complete quantum computer. Independence is trump, looking at current global events, where the behavior of Germany and the EU in terms of loyalty to the alliance and commitment to freedom and democracy has raised some serious doubts. Current developments in particular show that pledges of alliance and support cannot be relied upon. Especially from Germany, which is the largest European trading partner of the Islamist terror regime Tehran, whose state goal is the destruction of Israel.
The “reason of state of Germany” often expressed by German politicians to help Israel in the event of a crisis is more than merely doubtful in light of Germany’s actions on behalf of Ukraine. Germany’s pledges are not worth a damn. Israel would therefore be well advised to focus more on independence and not to rely on insecure “partners” like Germany.
Dr. Danny Gold, head of IMOD DDR&D, concludes, “Quantum computing, on all levels, is showing signs of being an important future component of the state’s security and its technological superiority. Starting this process in the framework of the national program constitutes a significant step towards achieving Israeli independence in this area.”
