The next meeting within the frame of the Abraham Accords is scheduled to take place in Morocco in March of this year. At the opening press conference of the new foreign minister – Eli Cohen – Minster Cohen promised Israel’s participation and underlined the great importance of the Abraham Accords: “The Abraham Accords dramatically changed the face of the Middle East. Only in the past year, the trade volumes between Israel and the countries of the Abraham Accords crossed the threshold of ten billion NIS.
Beyond the economic contribution, there is a very significant security contribution to the countries involved as well as to the strengthening of regional stability.
Next week, a working meeting of the Directors General of the foreign ministries concerned is due to take place in Abu Dhabi in preparation for another summit of the foreign ministers planned for Morocco this coming March.
In light of the tremendous contribution of the Abraham Accords to the participating countries, the expansion of the agreements to include additional countries is not a question of if, but rather when.”
The first summit took place on March 23 2022 and subsequently gave birth to the ‘Negev Forum’. On the agenda will for sure be the expansion of the Abraham Accords. On the wishlist of the Primeminister of Israel – Benjamin Netanyahu – are Saudi Arabia and Oman. However, Oman recently rejected any endeavors to join the Abraham Accords.
An additional major point should be, that policy should not play such a major role as it does at the moment. The Abraham Accords are about people and independent companies.

Kommende Woche soll in Abu Dhabi ein Arbeitstreffen der Generaldirektoren der betroffenen Außenministerien stattfinden, um einen weiteren Gipfel der Außenminister vorzubereiten, der im kommenden März in Marokko geplant ist.
Angesichts des enormen Beitrags des Abraham-Abkommens für die beteiligten Länder ist die Ausweitung der Abkommen auf weitere Länder keine Frage des Ob, sondern des Wann.“

Ein weiterer wichtiger Punkt sollte sein, dass die Politik keine so große Rolle spielen sollte, wie sie es derzeit tut. Bei den Abraham-Abkommen geht es um Menschen und unabhängige Unternehmen.
