Die Forschungslandschaft zur Quantenphysik ist zu einem unermesslich großen Thema auf Konferenzen und Tagungen geworden; so gibt es global gesehen beinahe täglich ein Event, das sich mit der Forschung und Anwendbarkeit hierzu professionell beschäftigt. So ist auch der Nachwuchs an Wissenschaftlern nicht ausgenommen.
In diesem Jahr wird die Quantum Future Academy als binationale Veranstaltung durchgeführt. Erstmals besuchen Studierende aus Israel und Deutschland zwei einwöchige Akademien zu Quantentechnologien. Die erste Woche findet vom 19. – 26. Februar 2023 in Israel statt, das zweite Treffen vom 3. – 10. September in Deutschland.
Teilnehmer sind Studierende der Ingenieur- oder Naturwissenschaften von Universitäten in Israel und Deutschland. Die Ausschreibung richtete sich an Bachelor- oder Masterstudierende aus den Bereichen Ingenieurwissenschaften, Naturwissenschaften oder Informatik. 15 Teilnehmer aus jedem Land wurden aus den Einsendungen ausgewählt.
Die Teilnahme am Workshop ist für die Teilnehmer kostenlos. Während der gesamten Akademie erhalten die Gewinner der Ausschreibung einen exklusiven Überblick über den neuesten Stand der Forschung und Entwicklung in Quantentechnologie.
Veranstalter der Akademie sind das Bundesministerium für Bildung und Forschung (BMBF), das israelische Ministerium für Innovation, Wissenschaft und Technologie (MOST) und die Deutsche Botschaft in Tel Aviv in Kooperation mit dem Weizmann Institute of Science, dem Munich Quantum Valley (MQV), das Munich Center for Quantum Science and Technology (MCQST), die Deutsch-Israelische Stiftung für wissenschaftliche Forschung und Entwicklung (GIF) und das VDI Technologiezentrum.
Die Quantum Future Academy 2023 wird ein separates zweiwöchiges Programm sein, das Folgendes beinhaltet:
- Exkursionen zu führenden Unternehmen und Instituten
- Vorträge von Experten auf dem Gebiet der Quantentechnologien
- Ein exklusiver Einblick in den aktuellen Stand der Forschung und Entwicklung
- Gespräche und Networking mit Unternehmern, Start-ups und Gründern
- Interaktive Workshops
- Rahmenprogramm mit Abendveranstaltungen

The quantum physics research landscape has become an immeasurably large topic of conferences and meetings; globally, there is an event almost every day that deals professionally with research and applicability. Young scientists are no exception to this.
This year, the Quantum Future Academy will be held as a bi-national event. For the first time, students from Israel and Germany will be attending two one-week academies about quantum technologies. The first week will take place from 19th – 26th February 2023 in Israel, and the second meeting will be from 3rd – 10th September in Germany.
Students of engineering or natural sciences from universities in Israel and Germany. The call for applications was aimed at bachelor’s or master’s students in the fields of engineering, natural sciences, or computer science.
15 participants from each country were chosen from the entries. Participation in the workshop is free of charge for participants. Throughout the academy, they will obtain an exclusive overview of state-of-the-art research and development in quantum technologies.
